オリジナルの探検映画に登場する倉庫のシーンにはミニチュアセットも使用しています。

倉庫の中にあるドラム缶。

材料にしているのは、トイレットペーパーの芯です。できるだけ廃品を使って手軽に安上がりに工作のが私のモットーですから、基本的に材料の半分くらいは廃品です。

ドラム缶の蓋の部分。これは面倒くさいんですけども、厚紙を使って作っています。

薬の瓶の蓋がちょうどいいサイズだったので、それに合わせて円を描いて、のりしろの部分を作るためにギザギザにハサミで切り込みを入れています。撮影用のドラム缶なので、底の部分は作りません。

 

ドラム缶特有の胴体にある2本の出っ張りですね。これは凧糸をぐるっと1周させて縛って、全体的に石粉粘土を水で緩く溶いたものを塗り付けて、全体的に馴染ませています。いつもの誤魔化しの工作です。

ドラム缶の蓋の上の部分には小さな丸い蓋を付けてます。

 

倉庫のミニチュアといっても全体的にこうどこから見ても倉庫と言うようなミニチュアセットを作る気はなくて、絵コンテで想定した側から見た倉庫を作っています。

段ボール箱を切って底の面と壁2面、これだけ作ります。床には別の厚紙を貼って段ボールの合わせ面が見えないような状態にしています。

柱などの雰囲気を出すために、角材を使ったり、レール材のようなものもよく使います。これはホームセンターで安く買ってきていますが、実際のところ本来は何に使うものなのかよくわかっていません。

 

角材などを壁に張り合わせて、それらしくちょっと配置してみた状態です。だいたい絵コンテのイメージに合わせて作っています。

倉庫全体を塗装します。

 

塗装にはアクリルのペンキを使ったり、アクリルの絵の具を使ったりと、基本的に使い勝手が良くて安い塗料は何でも使います。最近は水性の塗料が多いので、臭いもなくとても使いやすいです。

まずそれを全体に塗って段ボールや、厚紙の質感をなくします。

 

茶色の絵の具で鉄骨がさびた感じを出しています。実際にさびた実物を見てああ、こんな感じにさびるんだなというのを把握しながら絵の具をつけていきますが、基本的に難しい作業ではありません。

ドラム缶にも色を塗ってさびた感じというのを絵の具で表現していますと右側に写っているものはよくわからない。機械という設定で100円均一ショップで買ってきたおもちゃを分解して、その部品の一つに塗装して置いているという状態です。

絵を描くのと同じで作り込んでみてからメリハリをつけてみたり、ちょっと白くカビが生えている状態に塗ってみたらどうかなとか、水が垂れてできた染みをこう表現したらどうかなというようなところを自由に塗っていきます。

基本的に失敗はないので、どんどん塗り重ねてそれらしくするという作業です。

 

今回はこの倉庫が登場するのは１カットだけ。

主人公がシャッターを開けたら光が入って、室内が見えるというような場面にしたいんですね。そこで、こんなような簡単なセットを作っています。

 

人の形に切り抜いた厚紙で人の影を作っています。

出来上がった映像の時間が短いので、できるだけ時間はかけずにミニチュアセットを作ります。

実写の映像とミニチュアを交互に見せるとやり方で、シーンを成り立たせています。

The material is the core of the toilet paper. My motto is to use waste materials as much as possible to make things easily and cheaply, so basically about half of the materials are waste materials.

The lid of the medicine bottle was just the right size, so I drew a circle to fit it and made jagged cuts with scissors to create a piece of glue. Since it is a drum for photography, the bottom part is not made.

In order to create the atmosphere of pillars, we often use squared timbers and rail materials. I bought this cheaply at a home center, but I don’t really know what it’s actually used for.

 

It is a state in which square lumber etc. are attached to the wall and arranged a little like that. I usually make it according to the image of the storyboard.

Paint the entire warehouse.

 

For painting, I use acrylic paint, acrylic paint, etc. Basically, I use anything that is easy to use and cheap. Recently, there are many water-based paints, so there is no smell and it is very easy to use.

First, apply it all over to eliminate the texture of cardboard or cardboard.

 

The brown paint gives the iron frame a rusty feel. When you look at the actual rusted object and understand how it will rust, you apply paint, but basically it is not a difficult task.

If you paint the drums to express the rusty feeling with paint, you can’t really tell what’s on the right side. In the setting of a machine, a toy bought at a 100-yen uniform shop is disassembled and one of the parts is painted.

It’s the same as drawing a picture, and then I try to make it sharper, or paint it in a state where it’s slightly white and moldy, or how about expressing the stains made by dripping water in this way. I will freely paint such places.

Basically, there is no failure, so it is a work of painting more and more to make it look like it.

 

This warehouse only appears in one cut.

I want to create a scene where when the main character opens the shutter, the light comes in and you can see the interior. So I made a simple set like this.
